Follow the right timeline.
Ask when to wash, how the installation or coating settles, and which changes should prompt a call. There is no single first-wash interval for all products: manufacturers publish different instructions.
CARE, DURABILITY & EXPECTATIONS
Your parking, use, washing routine, exposure and the chosen product all matter. A useful handover explains what to do with your actual treatment.
Ask when to wash, how the installation or coating settles, and which changes should prompt a call. There is no single first-wash interval for all products: manufacturers publish different instructions.
Remove loose dirt before contact, use approved cleaners and keep strong pressure away from film edges. Dry carefully and deal with contamination promptly. Follow the specific product’s care instructions.
Do not assume a polish, solvent or household cleaner is appropriate. A product that changes gloss can change the appearance of a matte or textured finish. Check before experimenting.
Contact the studio about lifting edges, damage, persistent deposits or an unexpected change in finish. A close inspection is more useful than guessing from a marketing promise.

A warranty sets out covered faults, conditions, exclusions and the claim process. It is not a promise that every panel will remain damage-free for that period. For example, film defect coverage is different from damage caused by road debris.
Ask for the written terms for the actual product supplied in Australia. Check the covered surfaces, finish, registration requirements, care obligations and who handles a claim. We do not turn a manufacturer’s headline into a blanket promise for your car.
A car parked outdoors and driven frequently has a different life from a carefully stored weekend car. Installation, maintenance, exposure and paint condition can all affect performance and appearance.
Discuss expectations for your intended ownership period, rather than comparing products by one lifespan number. Plan periodic inspections and seek advice when the surface changes or a film section is damaged.

COMBINING TREATMENTS
A good recommendation considers how the products work together. Adding another treatment is useful only when it suits the material, purpose and care requirements.
Some film systems have approved coating options. That does not establish compatibility between every film and every coating. Many films also have topcoats with their own surface properties.
We do not present G’ZOX Real Glass Coat – Class M or Quartz 9 as automatically suitable for PPF or vinyl. The exact film, coating, finish and warranty conditions must be checked before recommending a combination.
Let us know about any existing coating when requesting a film quote. The surface preparation has to suit the adhesive system. For example, 3M’s Australian PPF guidance says an existing coating must be removed before its PPF is applied.
Manufacturer rules can also affect warranty coverage. XPEL’s published terms exclude non-XPEL ceramic coatings. Product compatibility is a practical decision, not an assumption that “more” always means “better”.

QUESTIONS WORTH ASKING
New describes the car’s age, rather than the condition of every painted surface. We start with an inspection and agree the preparation that is appropriate. A coating or film does not automatically conceal or correct existing defects.
Do not choose a glass coating as a substitute for a PPF impact barrier. Our coating service focuses on finish and ongoing maintenance. If chips are the main concern, compare film coverage first.
Beading shows water behaviour, not impact resistance. Class M’s water repellency is a surface property, not an impact barrier. A photograph of water beading does not, on its own, show how well a surface resists stone impacts or how much of your car is protected.
Colour PPF is the category to explore. Confirm the specific polyurethane film, finish and available colour. A quote for ordinary colour-change vinyl should not be treated as interchangeable with a quote for colour PPF.
Panel geometry, product, coverage and installation approach affect the finish. Discuss edges, joins, door shuts and recesses in advance. Our no-parts-removed approach applies to our colour-change vinyl service; the installation scope for any protective film is discussed separately.
It needs assessment. Tell us about repairs, resprays, peeling clear coat or existing damage. A covering cannot restore weak paint adhesion, and removal risks can differ from those on sound original paint.
Tell us the make, model, year, desired treatment and your priorities to start the conversation. Paint condition, repairs and the agreed coverage may need inspection before the final scope is confirmed.
New members receive 10% off their first eligible PPF, colour-change wrap or G’ZOX Real Glass Coating service under our membership terms. Read the offer and register. Choose the right service first, then confirm eligibility with the studio.
